CARBON OFFSETTING

To show our commitment to carbon neutrality and to overall sustainability the carbon footprint of our expedition will be offset using myclimate.org

Having the smallest carbon footprint is our priority. However, we will need to take planes to reach Svalbard, and might need to use motorised transport at the beginning and at the end of the expedition (for drop off and pick up).

During the four weeks in the field, we will use muscle force only.

Through this Swiss non-profit organisation, new sustainable projects are funded, helping to replace fossil fuels with renewable energies.

​

We want to demonstrate that there is a future for clean science, and that scientists must lead the way in preserving the most pristine environments on earth.
